Architecture

Architecture is the activity of designing and constructing physical structures by a person or a computer, primarily to provide shelter. Even more, the word “architecture” is often emplyed to define the activity of designing any kind of system.

Architects have as their primary object providing for the spatial and shelter needs of people in groups of some kind by the creative organisation of materials and space. Architecture is also experienced through the senses. As people move through a space, architecture is also experienced as a time sequence

Architectural works are perceived as cultural and political symbols and works of art. Buildings as the pyramids of Egypt and the Roman Colosseum are among the most important cultural symbols of the world. Cities, regions and cultures continue to identify themselves with their architectural monuments
